My VCR is Recording Static

This may be the next Ebay mugshot of my VCR. I've lived the life of cable TV, HDTV, and DVR. I have since down-sized and touted my need for only bunny-eared network television with its sidekick, the VCR.

I have argued that the absence of a DVR is made up in my VCR, but I realized last night that I can no longer record TV shows on my VCR. My TV show was on channel 5.1, and my VCR remote does not do fractions. Alas, the closest I got was channel 5 (or 5.0 in digital-speak), and I was recording static.

Hmm... maybe I need one of those converter boxes.
